2010 Updates

December 30, 2010

Well, another lighting season has come and gone.  Now that means I have to take down all my hard work!

Thanks to everyone that came by to check out my display or sent me a message.  I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and have a great new year!

The website has had a little updating and polishing up to make it look a little better, some of the updates include:

  • All my Christmas videos are now in HD
  • The video streaming has been changed away from using Silverlight
  • The sequences used in 2010 have been added to the Downloads section
  • Pictures of the light display covered in snow (odd in Mississippi) are in the Pictures section
  • Several changes to better navigate the site
Tomorrow night is the last night the lights will blink this year and then it is time to nicely ask my "Assistant Lighting Elf" the wonderful "Miss B" to help put all the lights up until next year!

Thanks to the wonderful help and encouragement of magical Christmas light elf "Miss B" this year's Christmas show is now playing nightly!  The number of lights used this year is now around 16,000 or so being driven by 48 channels of Light O Rama computer control and powered by 4 dedicated circuits.  The total length of the show is now 2 hours before repeating.  New songs this year include more Trans Siberian Orchestra, Manheim Steamroller, and another song dedicated to our Armed Forces by Rodney Carrington called "Camoflage and Christmas Lights".
