I found the plans for the large Christmas present somewhere on the Internet and cannot find the link otherwise I would give credit where credit is due. In the mean time here is the list of materials I used to create the present.
- 8 Corner Units (will have threads on one side)
- 8 Male Adapters (these will screw into the threads)
- 16 2 inch pieces of 1/2 inch PVC pipe
- 4 1/2 inch PVC crosses
- 8 1/2 PVC elbows
- 28 1/2 inch "T" adapters (8 for the bottom and 20 for the top)
- 12 18 inch pieces of 1/2 inch PVC pipe (for the uprights)
- 8 3 1/4 inch pieces of 1/2 inch PVC pipe
- 16 12 inch pieces of 1/2 inch PVC pipe
- 8 8 inch pieces of 1/2 inch PVC pipe
Some additional cutting to make sure things fit together correctly may be needed, it has been a while since I built this and thought about making a tutorial.
To finish the present I used red rope light for the outer edges, blue rope light for the edge of the bow, and white rope light to zig zag on the bow. The lights are held in place by many many zip ties. Here are some pictures of my finished project.
